Description
Our young page is leaning on her pentacle with a
contented smile upon her face. A tree grows behind
her and its roots spread through the pentacle and into
the ground.
Symbolism
The roots of the tree are growing through the pentacle
and this represents not only growth but grounding as
well. The pentacle is large and the page stands
behind it as if it is a shield, but she is not
defensive at the moment. Her shirt is red and she has
red flowers in her hair that also represent the
urgency of her growth (youth makes growing seem
urgent). She has the brown hair normally associated
with the pentacles suit, but she has green eyes to
represent growing things.
Card Meaning
The Page of Pentacles is about growing and finding
your own space. It is about beginning to find your
roots and what works for you. It may also indicate
messages about money or health. This person is very
studious and conscientious about money and respectful
of others and their property. They are always
tinkering with things to see how they work, they want
to understand the world they live in.
Artistic Media
I’ve used scans of various natural stones: Imperial
Green Marble for the grass, Blue Symphony Granite for
the sky and Honey Onyx for the pentacle. I used a
photo of my daughter turned to grayscale in photoshop
and then filled in with colored pencils and then
edited, cropped and added the title in photoshop as
well.
Artist's Bio
I am 30 years old, a wife and mother of 3 children and
one cat. I work as an online manager for a company
that sells natural stone tiles. I have been reading
tarot for over 12 years, and there’s still so much to
learn!
